Celebrity parents Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva introduce their newborn baby girl, Lucia, to the world by debuting the first pic of the infant in the new issue of Us Weekly. In one shot that has hit the web, Lucia is photographed sleeping with her left hand holding her mother's forefinger. A look at the pic can be seen on Celebrity Mania. Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to Lucia, her first child with Mel Gibson, on October 30 this year. The nearly one month old baby is Mel's eighth child as he has had six sons and one daughter with estranged wife Robyn Moore, and the second one for Oksana who already has a son with former boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.
In an interview with Britain's Hello magazine, Oksana recalled the day she delivered Lucia to the world, stating "She was almost a month early. I was at home and then I got rushed to hospital, and then eight hours later, I could look at her beautiful face. It was fairly straightforward, as births go. It happened very quickly."
"He (Gibson) came a few hours later because he had to fly from New York ... He is ecstatic. He is in love with her already. He's very hands-on. He has been very doting and nurturing," she added.
