Adam Lambert avoided another controversy when he pre-taped an interview for "The View" on Thursday, December 10, just one day after he sat down with Barbara Walters for her "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009" special. Wearing a black outfit combined with jeans and sporting his trademarked mascara, the gay singer was asked to address his notorious American Music Awards (AMAs) performance last month.

Though admitting he has no hard feeling that ABC didn't trust him to do a live broadcast, still he complained, "I'm surprised. I'm like, 'Really? Is it really that big of a deal?' " Above all, the "American Idol" season 8 runner-up admitted to have learned his lesson on how to deliver an appropriate live performance in the future ever since his much-criticized AMAs performance.

"I think now I'm a little more conscious of it. I wasn't up there on stage like, 'Oh, this is going to get them.' I'll probably stay more consistent in rehearsal to performance," he explained. He, moreover, opened up about how his parents responded to the criticism addressed to their famous son. Later on "The View", Adam delivered "Whataya Want From Me", one of the singles included in his debut album "For Your Entertainment".

Adam Lambert sent people in total shock when he delivered a sexually-charged performance during the 2009 AMAs on November 22. It cost him his scheduled appearances on "Good Morning America" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" among others.
