The conquest to find one true love will begin airing on Monday, January 4. In the episode called "1401", Jake will spend some time with all the ladies in a party, greet them and make them compete in a friendly football game between the blondes and the brunettes.
Then, Jake will send home 10 of the 25 women based on first impression. The press release said that there is tension when Chris Harrison starts to take out the elimination roses. "For Michelle, who is one of Jake's biggest fans and will stop at nothing to get her man, the pressure is too much and she breaks down in tears when she doesn't get enough time with the Bachelor," the press release stated.
Jake himself said that this season is going to be as dramatic as the last ones. "I can tell you from the get-go, it is a very rocky and dramatic season," he revealed in a press call. "Some of the things that happened on the show, drama-wise, floored me."
However, he chose to be careful in answering the question whether he found love through the reality show. "I don't want to ruin the ending," he said. "I stayed true to myself from the very beginning. I went in and said very honestly, if I find love I'll come out engaged. I didn't promise a ring at the end of this and stayed true to myself. I didn't necessarily do what everybody wanted me to."
Jake Pavelka is the 31-year-old commercial pilot whom Jillian Harris of "The Bachelorette" season 5 did not pick to be her soul mate. He was sent home in the sixth week because Jillian thought he was too conservative.
